Introduction


As an experienced architect with diverse roles in the private and public sectors, including owning my own firm and working for the City of Dallas and the US Army Corps, the 2023 AIA San Francisco Convention was transformative. Attending the convention and speaking at the Public Architects Knowledge Committee event reinforced the importance of inclusivity and collaboration, particularly in the public sector. In this article, I will share my personal account of the convention and highlight the committee's role in promoting diversity and fostering innovation.
