After 30 years without renovation, the Bachman Recreation Center — Dallas’s premier facility for therapeutic recreational services — has been completely revitalized. Serving a diverse, special - needs population from children to adults, the center is now a modernized hub for social and economic mobility.

Managed by Mahbuba as Senior Architec t and Project Manager, the renovation was completed $300,000 under budget, earning high praise from City Council members and the Park and Recreation Director.

The design team replaced a decaying, mold - prone storefront and corrugated metal canopy with a bright, wide drive-through porch and automated entry. Inside, dated terracotta was replaced with light, modern finishes, while new glazing connects the music and conference rooms to the lake views
beyond.
