Anjuman Community Hall
ANJUMAN COMMUNITY HALL | IRVING, TEXAS
Square Footage: 16,500 on 12 Acre master Planned Site
Firm's Role: Architect of Record
True architectural luxury lies in the sophisticated dialogue between sacred tradition and award-winning history. This 12-acre master plan in Irving, Texas, stands as a masterclass in architectural preservation, meticulously honoring the soul of the original structure - a 25-year AIA Dallas award-winning design - and its iconic circular driveway. By daring to expand these historical boundaries into magnificent 16,500-square-foot masterpiece, we have breathed new life into the site, pairing heritage conservation with a sprawling, state-of-the-art expansion. By preserving the site’s lush canopy of legacy trees, we created a harmonious green space where the spirit of the community can flourish in nature.
The design achieves a rare architectural symbiosis, blending the intricate, timeless motifs of traditional stone and wood with high-performance modern utility. The heart of the complex features a massive, 1,000-capacity community dining hall and a professional commercial kitchen, specifically engineered to handle grand-scale gatherings and daily community meal programs with effortless efficiency.
The transformation was an exercise in technical ingenuity. By upcycling the existing foundation and mirroring the original roofline, we achieved a seamless structural evolution that respects the building’s award-winning DNA. Through sophisticated underground drainage and precision expansion joints, we solved complex geometric puzzles to deliver a facility that is both eternal and cutting-edge. Experience the timeless charm of the past, amplified by a vast, light-filled environment and the ultra-modern amenities of tomorrow.
