Anjuman K-12 School

ANJUMAN
K-12 SCHOOL
| IRVING, TEXAS
Square Footage: 15,650 on 12 Acre Master Planned Site
Firm's Role: Prime- Architect of Record

This ground-up K-12 school stands for contemporary innovation on a campus defined by
heritage. Designed with meticulous traditional motifs, the structure achieves a sophisticated
fusion of modern architecture and classic wood and stone motifs. While the building
maintains a sense of solid, secure presence, it is punctuated by expansive, high-performance windows and sculptural skylight that harness natural light and through large
windows in each room – the essential catalyst for student engagement and focus.

The design prioritizes a deep connection to the 12-acre green site while maintaining an
energy-efficient envelope. We implemented a high-performance HVAC system,
lighting automation featuring precision-engineered zones, allowing for targeted climate and electrical control and significant energy conservation throughout the 15,500-square-foot facility. This smart infrastructure ensures that whether in the toddler suites, high school rooms or the highly ornate multipurpose hall, the environment remains as sustainable as it is comfortable.

Navigating the site’s topography required exceptional technical ingenuity. Positioned on a pad higher than the campus core yet below street level, our precision civil engineering resolved grading
challenges while protecting the estate’s legacy trees. The result is a secure, shaded oasis featuring a
vibrant community garden and playground on the South lawn. Integrated with high-end AV
technology, this academy is a high-performance sanctuary for learning and bonding where traditional warmth and cutting-edge efficiency coexist.
